To Paint the Earth delves into the decisions that went into launching the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising 80 years ago this month. Directed by Tony nominee Marcia Milgrom Dodge (Ragtime) and features a cast of Broadway actors, including Lauren Lebowitz, Stuart Zagnit (Caroline, Or Change, Newsies, The People In the Picture), Stephanie Lynne Mason (Fiddler on the Roof), Ben Liebert (Fiddler on The Roof, Wicked, Grease), Sharone Sayegh (The Band's Visit, Come from Away), and Joanne Borts (Once, Fiddler on the Roof).

The Voices of Descendants: The Continued Impact of the Holocaust

Emanuel Rosen and Noah Lederman will reflect on their writings as descendants of Holocaust survivors.

Authors will discuss how the affects in their lives and writing of the trauma of the Holocaust, regardless of how much their parents told them.

Mishpachah Festival

Sunday, May 21 | 10:00 AM ET

A daylong celebration genealogy, heritage, and immigration co-presented by JewishGen, the first-ever Mishpachah Festival features talks, panels, and workshops led by Center for Jewish History, the Forward, Jewish Genealogical Society of NY, The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene, and YIVO Institute for Jewish Research. Grammy-winning NYC-based singer-songwriter Joanie Leeds kicks off the festival with a concert for the whole family, and David Teyf, owner and Chef of the Museum’s acclaimed LOX Café, will lead live demonstrations of his unique process for developing New York’s finest lox.
