This Memorial Day weekend, Light Opera of New Jersey will be presenting a concert featuring one of the world's premiere barbershop quartets, First Take, who will bring along some of their friends for added entertainment!
First Take is an a cappella vocal ensemble specializing in modern arrangements of a wide array of songs sung in the barbershop style—from Pop to Broadway to classics from the Great American Songbook.
Known best for their virtuosic arrangements and compelling storytelling, First Take took the barbershop world by storm, finishing Fifth in a worldwide competition held by the Barbershop Harmony Society in 2022.
First Take will be joined by other international quartet competition qualifiers, Rule #1 and The Brooklynaires, as well as New Jersey’s fastest growing mixed contemporary a cappella chorus, Vocal Synergy.
