This 1920’s play- within-a-play whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show-an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, a self-destructing set, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences!
Part Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this Tony Award-winning farce is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter! Actors should be able to portray someone in the age range of 20’s or 30’s and must be in excellent physical shape. Looking for strong comedic timing, as well as a high level of physical comedy. This is a physically demanding show. Many roles will require varying amounts of crawling, climbing, lifting, running, being confined to tight spaces, exposure to heights, and falling. Cast includes 6 Males, 2 Females and 4 Stage crew who will work backstage and see stage time. |
