The Livingston Public Library, the heart of our vibrant town, fosters community engagement, connects people with ideas and each other, and makes Livingston a better place to live and work.

A Message from the Director

Join Us for Our Next Meeting of Thrilling Tales!

“Everyone has secrets. It’s just a matter of finding out what they are.” –Stieg Larsson, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Livingston Library Community,

A wealthy family, a computer hacker, and a girl who disappeared nearly 40 years ago sets the plot for our next Thrilling Tales book club pick this May.

Thrilling Tales is the perfect book club for mystery aficionados who enjoy red herrings, whodunnits, and conversing with like-minded readers. This month, Thrilling Tales will be meeting in-person on Thursday, May 11th, at 11am in the Library’s technology room to discuss The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.

Accessible Entrance

Please pardon our appearance

The ramp to the main entrance sustained significant damage from an accident in the parking lot. Fortunately, no one was badly hurt. The library is currently coordinating with the township to begin the necessary repairs. During this time there is barrier-free access to the Library through the entrance to the reference wing. This is located to the right of the main entrance, near the book drop.

We recognize that this is an inconvenience, and we hope to complete repairs as quickly as possible. Thank you in advance for your patience.

If you have additional questions or specific concerns about accessibility

please contact Library Director, Amy Babcock,

at Babcock-landry@livingston.bccls.org.

The Power of Pattern

Students at Burnett Hill, Collins, and Mount Pleasant Elementary Schools examined patterns, an important principle of design and explored how patterns can make a big impact on their art. Not only are patterns everywhere including nature and math, but they are a way for artists to create a sense of order, balance and structure in a composition.
