Cabaret in the Loft
Jelani Remy: This is My Moment SUN, APR 2, at 7PM
New Jersey native and Broadway star Jelani Remy brings a feast of
Pop, Soul, and Musical Theatre to SOPAC's new Cabaret in the Loft
series in his one-man show, “This is My Moment."
Cabaret in the Loft is a 54 Below-esque experience, west of
the Hudson River. The club-like atmosphere of the SOPAC Loft is
perfect for this intimate series. Performers in the series live in
the greater SOMA area, which was appropriately named the place “where
Broadway comes home to sleep” by the New York Times.

American River
A Journey Down
the Passaic
Film Screening and Conversation
FRI, JAN 20, at 7PM
Prudential
Hall | Betty Wold Johnson Stage
The Passaic
River flows right through our community, but it’s still a mystery to
many of us. Discover its fascinating secrets on this epic 80-mile
kayak journey across New Jersey and ending in Newark. The Passaic is
filled with contradictions, from its wild natural beauty to its
severe industrial pollution, and we’ll explore a mosaic of stories
about its history, geology and ecology. After sold-out screenings in
Montclair, Teaneck, Princeton and Morristown, American River
concludes its award-winning run on the film festival circuit with
this grand finale event at NJPAC. We’ll be joined for a special
Q&A with filmmaker Scott Morris, author Mary Bruno (An
American River: From Paradise to Superfund) and kayak guide Carl
Alderson.
