Livingston Library Community,

We invite you to join us in the Library’s program room on Monday, December 12th, at 7pm to explore the history and culture of “Jewish New York.” This illustrated lecture presented by storyteller and historian Marty Schneit will take you on a journey, uncovering how Jewish America began in New York. 

Schneit will cover topics such as Brownsville Girls, Shearith Israel, Temple Emanuel, Jews of Brighton Beach, Eldridge Street Synagogue, Rebbe Schneerson, Washington Heights (Frankfurt on the Hudson), Zabars, the egg cream, and Henny Youngman (just to name a few!).

Be careful what you wish for, as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical.  Into the Woods Jr. features all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.

No registration is required.
