A World Premiere Composition with Dancers

Our season opening concert features the exciting World Premiere of The Amiable Consort, composed by Maestro Robert W. Butts on commission from Judith Gibson.
As a special treat, the work will feature dancers choreographed by Chloe Martins in collaboration with Kimani Fowlin, Drew University, The Arts & Culture Collaborative, Morris Arts, and Saint Elizabeth University with a special art exhibit in The Mahoney Gallery.
Dancers featured include Courtney Fee, Olivia Smedley, Sabine Reedy, Ashley Abreu, Michelle Lombardi, and Jarry Fall.

An added surprise discovery on the
concert will be the rarely heard Concerto for Piano 4-Hands,
by Leopold Kozeluch, a contemporary of Mozart and Beethoven.
The concerto will feature duo-pianists
Madalina-Claudia Danila and Hugh Sung.
Madalina-Claudia Danila, a Romanian born pianist, has won
several national and international prizes and scholarships. Hugh
Sung, hailed as one of the finest collaborative pianists of his
generation, has also worked extensively with the Philadelphia
and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras and
has served on the faculty of The Curtis Institute of
Music in Philadelphia.
