Dear Lovers of Art,
We are
delighted to announce that we have an ambitious season filled with
professional productions that will move and inspire audiences of all
ages! These plans are made possible through your generous
gifts to our Annual Appeal. As LONJ moves to new heights as a
professional regional opera/operetta and musical theater company, your
support is essential to our future.
Following the
successful start to the season with the concert version of Candide, our
upcoming season includes a production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Don
Giovanni, directed by Stefanos Koroneos, performed at the Sieminski
Theater at Fellowship Village on February 24 at 7:30 PM and February 26
at 2:30 PM. Stefanos is the General and Artistic Director of
the Teatro Grattaciello (Manhattan). Stefanos has directed/produced
acclaimed productions both in the United States and Europe. Starring in
Don Giovanni will be Suchan Kim (Don
Giovanni), Lisa Algonzzini (Donna Elvira), Madison Zahorsky (Donna Anna), Diego Valdez
(Don Ottavio), Courtney San Martin (Zerlina), Oliver
Poveda (Leporello), Patrick Scully (Masetto), and (Steven
Fredericks (Commendatore).
On July 14-16
and July 21-23, we will present the 2014 Tony Award Winner for
best Musical, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, at the
South Orange Performing Arts Center in South Orange, NJ.
Your gifts
also allow us to provide outreach programs to schools, senior
living facilities, local libraries, and other spaces throughout
Northern and Central New Jersey. LONJ is also committed to training
and mentoring young singers in the high school and college age
years through Master Classes and other Young Artist programs. We
feel the world of fine singing and performing should be shared
everywhere!
