Hosted by AAPI Montclair,
this annual festival honors the diverse, rich traditions of the
South Asian diaspora. Spend the day with us while enjoying live
performances, family-friendly arts and crafts, readings from local
South Asian authors, and sweet and savory bites from popular
neighborhood restaurants and food trucks. Be sure to stay until the
end, when you'll get a chance to learn first-hand how to dance like
a Bollywood star with a surprise guest performance!

Family Friendly Art-Making Activity Every Sunday at MAM

Sessions at 1 p.m.,
2 p.m., and 3 p.m. every Sunday
Join us each Sunday
for a fun family art-making activity inspired by our current
exhibitions. This weekend, the activity is inspired by the
exhibition Lori Field: Tiger Tarot, and
the artist's interest in totem animals. Families will create mixed
media masks featuring their own favorite animals and personal
symbolism.

MAM's free evening parties are back! In honor of
Native American Heritage Month, November's program highlights
Indigenous artists as they remix and reclaim narratives through
genre-bending sculpture, music, and dance. Enjoy
talks and presentations throughout the night including a
performance by New Jersey's Red Blanket Singers (featured above).

Cornerstone Café Opening at MAM

Opening Friday,
November 4
Visit the
Cornerstone Café at MAM, open every Friday from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Enjoy refreshing beverages, hot coffee, and tasty treats during
your visit. The Café is located on the lower level of the Museum
and offers indoor seating. The Cornerstone Café will also
inaugurate new Museum programming called Fridays at MAM. This new weekly
program will include remote workspace, sketching in the galleries,
and scavenger hunts for
families and groups.
