Saturday, October 15

Spend the weekend exploring MAM's new photography installation, Abelardo Morell: Projecting Italy. The exhibition highlights twelve tent camera and camera obscura photographs taken by world-renowned photographer Abelardo Morell. The images feature sites in Italy in honor of the twentieth anniversary of the Center for Italian Culture at Fitchburg State University.

Morell's exhibition inaugurates a series of shows at MAM that will focus on the creative contributions of contemporary American and Native American photographers.

Sunday, October 30, 2 p.m.

Diwali, the festival of lights, commemorates a triumph of light over darkness and is a time for all to gather together and celebrate new beginnings.

Hosted by AAPI Montclair, this annual festival honors the diverse, rich traditions of the South Asian diaspora. Spend the day with us while enjoying live performances, family-friendly arts and crafts, readings from local South Asian authors, and sweet and savory bites from popular neighborhood restaurants and food trucks. Be sure to stay until the end, when you'll get a chance to learn first-hand how to dance like a Bollywood star with a surprise guest performance!
