The leaves are nearing peak fall colors! Join a naturalist for a trail walk to learn about why leaves change color and fall off, and how trees prepare for winter, all while enjoying the colorful display. Click here!

Let's talk about the animals we call "spooky" and "unloveable," just in time for Halloween! Discover how amazing these animals really are and why they are important in nature with fun activities and a nature walk. Learn more here!

Happy Halloween! Come to Fosterfields Living Historical Farm to create a spooky seasonal craft to decorate your home. Choose between a ghost, a pumpkin and a witch hat.

Families with small children will enjoy a guided walk full of silly and nature-themed tales told by costumed storytellers along the decorated trails of the Great Swamp. Wear your own costume too! Sign up in advance for a time slot. Check it out!

Become a forensic scientist for wildlife as you examine real skulls and bones to determine what animal they came from. Discover the 4 types of mammal teeth as you crunch on carrots and apple slices and then guess what animals eat by looking at the teeth in their skulls. Learn more here!

Find out why you’ve been looking at apples upside down your whole life and help make fresh apple cider by hand with an old-fashioned cider press. Click here for more info.

Join staff and paranormal investigators as we investigate the spectres inside The Willows mansion. Home to Joseph Warren Revere and then later Caroline Foster, the house stands to be one of our most intriguing haunts yet! Check it out!

s'more shirtS’MORE FUN TRAIL RUN & 1-MILE FAMILY FUN RUN/WALK

November 13

The S’more Fun Trail run features a chip timed 5k race or a 1-mile family fun run/walk at Central Park of Morris County’s cross-country course. All ages and skill levels are welcome. After your run, stop by the campfire to warm up and roast some marshmallows! Everything is S’MORE fun around the campfire! Not in the area? We have you covered!
