Fall Fun Things to Do!

Discover different types of wildlife that come out at night; from racoons to barred owls to river otters; as well as the adaptations that allow these animals to thrive and survive in the dark. After starting indoors with some fun activities, head out on the trail in the fading light to search for nighttime animals. Bring a flashlight. Come join us!

Cost: $15 per person. Preregistration required.

October 14

Come embrace the spooky side of fiber arts with our Fall Felting workshop! Participants will learn the basics of needle felting, while making a spooky felted decoration for the Halloween season. Learn more here.

October 15 at Bamboo Brook and October 16 at Frelinghuysen Arboretum

Enjoy a combination of Japanese oriented walking, meditation, mindfulness and wellness promotion in the gardens and on the paths of The Frelinghuysen Arboretum. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. Click here for more info!

Has your child outgrown our Toddler Treks but still craves adventures in nature? Puddle Jumpers is for you! Join Miss Jenny to discover new things about the natural world through stories, games, activities and guided walks.  This month, learn all about animal poop - who made it, what they ate and what it can tell us! Families with small children will enjoy a guided walk full of silly and nature-themed tales told by costumed storytellers along the decorated trails of the Great Swamp. Wear your own costume too! Sign up in advance for a time slot. Check it out!
