Morris Arts is proud to partner with Storytelling Arts to present Untold Stories of Storied People. Inspired by Desmond Tutu's quote, "My humanity is bound up in yours, for we can only be human together," the project has engaged ten storytellers from Jersey City, New Brunswick, Morristown and Trenton in a 12-month project to develop and culminate in a sharing of untold stories that define and contextualize their lives. 

 

 

ART & CULTURE COLLABORATIVE'S DANCE CONNECTIONS

Fall/Winter 2022/23

Arts & Culture Collaborative’s Dance Connections is a festival of partnership events highlighting the dance performances and dance-related work of New Jersey artists and organizations. These events will run now through early 2023 and feature multiple styles of dance and a diverse group of performers. Whether you’re a dance lover, arts appreciator, or new to the arts scene entirely, we welcome you to join us!

"MOVE: DANCE IN ARTS" EXHIBIT

Morris Arts' & Saint Elizabeth University's unique two-location exhibit curated by Dr. Virginia Fabbri Butera:

We were delighted to host opening receptions for both exhibits late September which included a live dance component by Drew University Dance.

PUMPKIN ILLUMINATION

Sunday, October 23 | 5-7PM | Vail Mansion Reflecting Pool | FREE

An evening of fun for all ages including:

  • Art workshop with artist Dan Fenelon
  • Live jazz music by The Alex Lazzari Quartet
  • Luminary parade led by Morristown Mayor Tim Dougherty
  • The lighting of the pumpkins – Pumpkin Illumination!

Don't forget to bring your carved pumpkin!

 

 

 

"THROUGH WOMEN'S EYES" EXHIBIT

Now through January 8 

The Atrium Gallery at Morris County Administration & Records Building

The exhibit features the works of Medy Bozkurtian, Marilyn Greenberg, Lisa Marseglia Moran, Isabella Pizzano and Kay Reese. 

The Atrium Gallery is located on floors 2-5 of the Morris County Administration and Records Building, 10 Court Street, Morristown and is open during regular business hours.
