Carolyn Ferolito

Carolyn Ferolito Elected as Paper Mill Board Chair

Carolyn Ferolito was recently elected Board Chair, succeeding Jim Fakult, who just completed his third term. Other officers elected include Vice Chairs Deborah Kennedy, Ted Bourke and Andy Gottesman, Secretary Howard Hirsch, and Treasurer Joan Palermo.

Rounding out the summer Brookside festivities, September musical artists include: 

  • Jarran Muse (September 7–10) of Paper Mill's Sister Act and A Jolly Holliday takes audiences on a nostalgic musical journey in One Night in Motown, a celebration featuring hits from Berry Gordy’s legendary Motown Records catalog with songs made famous by Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, and more. 
  • Kissy Simmons (September 14–17), best known for her nine years as Nala in Broadway’s The Lion King and recently a star of Paper Mill’s own A Jolly Holiday, closes out the Brookside Cabaret season with a delightful set of jazzy standards, R&B favorites, and show tune hits—ranging from Ella to Whitney to Barbra to Disney.

 

 

 

 

On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio & Gloria Estefan

ON YOUR FEET! TO KICK OFF THE SEASON

Performing October 7–November 6, this exhilarating production follows the lives of pop superstars Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Cuban immigrants in Miami, as they fall in love, struggle to overcome family obstacles, and work tirelessly to take their Latin sound to the American mainstream.

Paper Mill is proud to introduce 30 Under 30 tickets. Patrons under 30 years old qualify for $30 tickets with a valid photo ID for any Wednesday or Friday evening mainstage performance.

We are also happy to announce our new Student Ticket policy. Say "goodbye" to student rush, and say "hello" to $20 Student Tickets any time with a valid student ID.

MOVEMENT OPENING RECEPTION

The first exhibit of the 2022–2023 season, MOVEMENT, will celebrate Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month and will run concurrently with On Your Feet!, beginning with an opening reception on September 22 from 5:00–7:00 PM, open to the public. Enjoy refreshments and hors d'oeuvres while you mix, mingle, and meet the artists!

 

CALLING ALL VISUAL ARTISTS!

Open Call for Artists Now–October 2 for the second exhibition of the season:

LIGHT, running concurrently with The Sound of Music and the holiday season, November 17–January 13.

 

 

 

 

FALL THEATER SCHOOL CLASSES
BEGINNING THIS MONTH

Fall classes will begin mid-month for Paper Mill Playhouse's Theater School, which has been voted Favorite Place to Take a Class in the JerseyArts.com People's Choice Awards. Our collaborative approach makes learning to perform fun as students of all ages gain the skills and confidence to perform in front of an audience from Broadway to the boardroom. Registration for the Spring session will open in February 2023.

 

 

 

 

PMP CELEBRATES HISPANIC HERITAGE

Come celebrate Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month with Paper Mill on October 1 beginning at 1:00 PM! Outdoor festivities will include performances from local Latinx dance ensembles and delicious food and beverages.

Arriving at the F.M. Kirby Carriage House Restaurant & Bar in October, Michael McAssey is a 4-time MAC and Bistro Award-winning entertainer recently heralded by Broadway World as "the clown prince of New York cabaret!" "Mac" has been a popular member of the New York Piano Bar & Cabaret communities for over 35 years, whether at the piano or standing centerstage. Enjoy a delicious prix fixe showtune-filled brunch on October 2 and November 13.

Michelle & Orin Tempkin

Michelle & Orin Tempkin are lifelong theater-lovers. In fact, they met while doing theater! Michelle began her association with Paper Mill as an usher in high school. She has been on staff at Paper Mill for over a decade, working in almost every department before beginning her full-time position as Education Administration Manager in our education department. Michelle and Orin and their family are connected to Paper Mill as audience members, donors, and education students. One of their daughters was even a Paper Mill summer theater intern. Paper Mill is truly their second home and part of their family!

Tony-winning superstar Renée Elise Goldsberry is coming to Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown in September! Tickets are on sale now at MayoArts.org.

Best known for her role as Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton, Renée Elise Goldsberry is a multi-gifted actress and singer who has delivered award-winning performances both on Broadway and on screen. Renée’s performance in Hamilton earned her a Tony Award, Grammy Award, Drama Desk Award, and Lucille Lortel Award. Currently, Renée can be seen starring in Tina Fey’s Peacock series, Girls5Eva.
