Making Waves! Ocean Worlds in Art Glass
Newly open and on view through October 16
Don’t miss these timeless examples of ocean worlds
captured in elusive medium of glass. Four featured master
craftsmen made waves in the field with novel techniques and methods.
In the example above, Murano glass Maestro (Master) Elio Raffaeli
revived the traditional aquarium form with a modern twist,
working in collaboration with Venetian glass flame artist
Vittorio Costantini to produce the dynamic aquatic environment in The
Reef.

Live Summer Outdoor Concerts in August
August's Back Deck line up saves some of the best
performers for last. We have a returning favorite: NJ native Evan
Sherman with his big band 16-piece ensemble of jazz veterans. New
performers include Danny Jonokuchi and his “smile-inducing” (DownBeat) swing,
the debut of rising stars from Balourdet Quartet, and Alea whose
buttery vocals, holistic guitar conversations, and riveting sax
solos evoke a “tropical wave” (Cultura Colectiva).
|
|
Our third year of music on the Back Deck brings past
favorites and new exciting artists- all yours to enjoy from the
comfort of your own block! Tickets are $50 per 8X8 block and
includes two patrons. Don’t forget, BYOB and BYO chairs and
picnics with live music under the sunset!
In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be
held inside the Bickford Theatre. All patrons will have to wear
face masks while inside the Bickford Theatre. An indoor picnic
area will be provided if the concert is moved inside.
