The West Orange Arts Council (WOAC) presents INSPIRED LANDSCAPE, the work of the West Orange Critique Group Collective. The seven local artists—Dan Epstein, Leslie Goldman, Marlene Hendrian, Ann Kraus, Fernando Mariscal, Denis Orloff, and Katy Repka—are hosting a light reception at the West Orange Arts Center Gallery and Gift Shop.

In a demonstration of the power of constructive feedback among creatives, this group came together as strangers from different backgrounds, working in various media (photography, graphite, oil, watercolor) and with different practices.

Meeting monthly for six years, they critiqued each other’s work, discussing composition, value, subject matter, color, technique, inspiration, and the joy of the creative process. They have found this support and consistent accountability has helped each one’s artistic growth on the road to mastery.

The West Orange Arts Council's mission is to cultivate, inspire, and support the arts in West Orange. Area artists and community leaders remain the core of this all-volunteer organization that operates the West Orange Arts Center gallery and gift shop at 551 Valley Road, West Orange, NJ.
