Telegraph Quartet

Lot of Strings Music Festival

Thursday, July 7, 8:00 PM

Described by the San Francisco Chronicle as “…an incredibly valuable addition to the cultural landscape” and “powerfully adept… with a combination of brilliance and subtlety,” the Telegraph Quartet was awarded the prestigious 2016 Walter W. Naumburg Chamber Music Award and the Grand Prize at the 2014 Fischoff Chamber Music Competition. Telegraph brings their intelligent and virtuosic slant to works by Ravel and Schoenberg.

They will present their Divergent Paths concert program, which includes Ravel’s String Quartet in F Major and Schoenberg’s String Quartet No. 1 in D minor, Op. 7. Highlighted through this program are the distinct ways in which both Ravel and Schoenberg reacted to the Romantic tradition that came before them.
