"Keep the Change is
a gross play. It's about a gross time, it's full of gross people, and
almost all of them do gross things." —Kyle Mazer
The play follows three individuals from different
generations of a New Jersey family of delicatessen owners as they
confront COVID-19, and how it changes the ways they see the world.
Along with some deep-rooted sandwich philosophies, the
play captures real people during a wild time in our history.
Keep the Change is
about the heinous heathens we became in the early months of the pandemic.

NJ native Kyle Mazer wrote and
produced two musicals and two plays in his time at Yale, which is now
his alma mater, each of which deal with many of the themes of his
childhood: baseball, horse racing, history classes, sandwiches, you
know, just Jersey things. He thanks the Cranford
Public Library for believing in his work.
