After her marriage falls apart, she decides to adopt a biracial girl, forever altering her relationship with the ultra-Orthodox community she grew up in.   Tree of Life by Victor Wishna A declining, small-town Iowa synagogue welcomes a surprising visitor, as the tale of its origins—and its Torah’s mysterious past—unfolds contiguously, a century before.     Over 1,200 voters!
