How hard is it to build a nest that
is sturdy, comfortable, and camouflaged? After examining real birds' nests for
clues, try your hand at making a home that a bird would approve of. Play a wild
game about what it's like to be a parent or baby bird, and finish with a craft

CAMPING

Get into the woods with like-minded
kids to learn different outdoor skills while building confidence! In this
session, they learn how to set up a camp using a tent and tarp, plus build a

HOME SCHOOL HIKERS:
AMPHIBIANS

This program for older
homeschoolers features a 2-3 mile hike on the rugged trails of Pyramid Mountain
with a nature lesson along the way! In this session, we will learn about the
amphibians of the forest: toads, newts, frogs and salamanders. Hikers should
bring a snack and water and wear appropriate shoes for hiking. Learn more here.
