Gardens
are dynamic in nature – sometimes evolving slowly and sometimes
moving at a rapid pace. Over the past several years, Greenwood
Gardens has made profound changes to the landscape, breathing new
life into a historic garden.
Since 1911, Greenwood Gardens has evolved with artistic direction
from the Day and Blanchard families, whose visions were quite
different from one another. Now, Greenwood is entering a new phase
of evolution as a public garden informed by its past and inspired
by future possibility.
On Sunday, June 12 at 3:00 p.m., Sonia Uyterhoeven, Greenwood
Gardens’ Head of Horticulture, will discuss the vision and the
planning that went into the process of revitalizing the gardens – a
process that is continuing to unfold.
Following the lecture, cookies and iced tea will be
served.
Adults only, ages 13 and up; limited to 70
attendees
$20 members; $25 non-members
