June 18

Now there's a mini version of our popular Survivor Summer Camp just for adults! Why should kids have all the fun? Spend a morning in the forest learning how to pick a campsite, set up a tent, build and light a campfire and practice good camping ethics. Click here to learn more!

Enjoy a combination of Japanese oriented walking, meditation, mindfulness, and wellness promotion. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. Learn more here!

Geocaching is a great outdoor activity for families! Learn how to use a GPS unit or geocaching app along with a map to locate hidden treasures, called "caches" along the trails. All materials are provided. Check it out!

mosquitoesEVERYTHING YOU NEVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT MOSQUITOES

June 20 at Pyramid Mountain and June 24 at Great Swamp

We all have to deal with mosquitoes in NJ, whether we like it or not, so arm yourself with the facts during National Mosquito Control Awareness Week! Can you pass the mosquito fact or fiction quiz? Learn everything you need to know in an interactive presentation followed by a visit from Morris County Mosquito Control who will show us all the mosquitoes' life stages up close and talk about the services they offer. Then take a short walk to look for unintentional mosquito attractants using your newfound knowledge. Click here for more info.

Home School ProgramsHOME SCHOOL HIKERS: AMPHIBIANS

June 21

This program for older homeschoolers features a 2–3-mile hike on the rugged trails of Pyramid Mountain with a nature lesson along the way! In this session, we will learn about the amphibians of the forest: toads, newts, frogs and salamanders. Hikers should bring a snack and water and wear appropriate shoes for hiking. Learn more!
