Garden State Watercolor Society Presents 4th Annual “Small but Mighty” Art Exhibition




Art enthusiasts eagerly anticipate Garden State Watercolor Society’s 4th Annual small works art exhibition

Small but Mighty
WHEN: June 12 to July 17; the exhibit will be posted on YouTube on June 15, with links from Instagram, Facebook and on the websites of https://www.gswcs.org and https://farmsteadartscenter.org.

Fifty-two Garden State Watercolor Society artists submitted a total of 99 small works. Paintings consist of original water media (watercolor, acrylic, gouache, casein, or egg tempera) on paper, Claybord, or Yupo. Artworks measure 10” or less on any side. Paintings in the exhibit were juried for $500 in prizes by Lena Shiffman, children’s book illustrator and watercolor instructor at lenashiffman.com. [Left:

An Awards Ceremony will be held on July 17, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the close of the show.

A Plein Air Watercolor Workshop
with Jackie Pidgeon-Pankuck, is planned LIVE for Saturday, June 25, with rain date June 26. The event is full. Participating artists are encouraged to paint scenes of the beautifully restored, historic white Dutch Colonial farmhouse, red barn, trees, flowers and fields at the Kennedy Martin Stelle Farmstead, the scenic home of Farmstead Arts Center.
