i am the utterance of my name: A Preview and Artist Discussion with Sylvia Milo and Nathan Davis

The team that created the SMASH HIT, The Other Mozart is in the final stages of creating their new work, i am the utterance of my name, which they have been workshopping while in residence at the Bickford Theatre for the last two weeks. This new play with live music explores the myth and history of one of history’s most intriguing and vexing characters, Mary Magdalene.

See a preview of this stunning new work and engage in conversation with members of the creative team in this free event! This new work will have its world premiere right here at Live Arts at the Morris Museum in November 2022.

 

 

Visitor Information

All patrons 12 years and older must provide proof of full vaccination, currently 2 shots of either Pfizer or Moderna, or one of Johnson and Johnson, and corresponding ID. Sylvia Milo and Nathan Davis’ The Other Mozart, the play about the genius sister of Amadeus, has toured the world and received critical acclaim globally. Live Summer Outdoor Concerts are Back!

Get your tickets before they are sold-out for Jazz on the Back Deck and Lot of Strings Music Festival. The season is packed with the most exciting artists performing today! Our third year of music on the Back Deck brings past favorites and new performers—all yours to enjoy from the comfort of your own block! The stellar line-up includes the award-winning Argus Quartet, the dazzling Martin Pizzarelli, the acclaimed Tesla Quartet, Telegraph Quartet, Dan Levinson, and more.

Each 8X8 block is $50.00 and includes two patrons. Don’t forget, BYOB and BYO chairs and picnics with live music under the sunset! In the event of inclement weather, concerts will be held inside the Bickford Theatre. All patrons will have to wear face masks while inside the Bickford Theatre. An indoor picnic area will be provided if the concert is moved inside. See June's concerts below.

Bassist Martin Pizzarelli returns to Jazz on the Back Deck after his SOLD-OUT show last year! A member of New Jersey’s first jazz family, Martin’s own impressive career as a bass player spans several decades and includes dozens of record dates and hundreds of concerts around the globe.

 

Tesla Quartet

Lot of Strings Music Festival

Praised for their “superb capacity to find the inner heart of everything they play, regardless of era, style, or technical demand” (The International Review of Music), the Tesla Quartet brings refinement and prowess to both new and established repertoire. A perennial favorite in Lot of Strings; Tesla will bring their signature command of the medium for the third year in a row!
