Far East Group Show
WHEN: Show opens to the public on Saturday, May 21, 2022, hosted by the Hamilton Park Neighborhood Association, and will close at the end of July 2022
WHERE: Hamilton Park, Brunswick, Grove, 6th, and 9th Streets, Jersey City, New Jersey.
ADMISSION: This event is outdoors, free, and open to the public. This public art exhibition can be viewed at any time.
We want to
take a moment to recognize that Walk Bye operates out of Jersey City, New
Jersey which sits proudly on the traditional and unceded lands of the Lenape
people. We offer our respect to the elders both past, present, and future.
Artists were invited to submit works in which they interpret the “Far East” theme and join in paying tribute to the generations of Asian and Pacific Islanders who have enriched America's history and are instrumental in its future success.
Artists accepted for this group show will have the opportunity to see their selected images printed large on vinyl with their name, title of work, media of their original art, and Instagram handle or website.
The artists chosen for this exhibit are from Bangladesh, China, Denmark, France, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Poland, Spain. Thailand, Tibet and the United States: Abimalec Barreras, Alexandra Buxbaum, Alexis Rotter, Ana Reynolds, Anh Nguyen, Antonius Kho, Catalina Aranguren, Chrisya Enriquez, Crystal Letters, Czech, Eka Pramuditha, Elaine B. Chao, Janhavi Firke, Kevin Lim, Lisa Rousselot, Mahedi Anjuman, Megha Sood, Moolee Bunnag, Peter Gagnon, Poramit Thantapalit, Ratna, Saara Herne, Sachin Choudhary, and Yuri Bacas Hosaka.

Celebrating the opening of AAPI Heritage Month and the Far East Group Show at Hamilton Park are performances by the Taiko Masala Drum Troupe, Crystal Letters, Megha Sood and Summer Dawn by In Full Color, and Susan Justiniano | Rescue Poetix, participating Walk Bye artist and Jersey City poet laureate 2021-2022.
