in which filmmaker Alyssa Bolsey pieces together the epic story of
her great-grandfather Jacques Bolsey, a 1920s immigrant inventor who
aimed to disrupt the early film industry with a motion picture camera
for the masses: the iconic Bolex.

Featuring interviews with Jonas Mekas and other renowned
filmmakers, this film delves into Jacques's personal diary, film
reels, and collected images in order to understand the man and his
impact on generations of filmmakers.

This virtual film screening is presented in conjunction
with the exhibition Jonas Mekas: The Camera Was Always Running.
