Under the direction of conductor and master story- teller Maestro Anthony LaGruth, this concert program will take the audience through the progression of early American music, from the influence of Dvorak's friend and champion Johannes Brahms, the groundbreaking work of early American composers, and ultimately Dvorak's tenure as the Director of the New Music Conservatory in New York City.

This performance includes Brahms' defiant and emotional “Tragic Overture,” New England composer Horatio Parker's lush, melodic “A Northern Ballad,” and Dvorak's masterfully compelling Symphony No. 9, "From the New World."

TICKETS: available at the door, with discounts for seniors and students and free admission for those under 12.
