May is peak time for the arrival of colorful migrant birds to our area. Join a naturalist to identify birds by sight and sound along the trails. Bring binoculars or borrow ours. All are welcome: beginner to expert! Click here to learn more!

May 27 at Great Swamp and June 9 at Pyramid Mountain

How hard is it to build a nest that is sturdy, comfortable, and camouflaged? After examining real birds' nests for clues, try your hand at making a home that a bird would approve of. Play a wild game about what it's like to be a parent or baby bird, and finish with a craft that will help birds around your house make their nests. Click here for more info.

June 6

Which plant sometimes has a great scent, but more often has prickles and grows hips? The rose! Learn about this plant which is one of the oldest plants cultivated by humans and learn to grow one on your own. Sign me up!
