In this in-person class, young arrangers will create a centerpiece perfect for Mother's Day. Greens, container and decorations supplied. Attendees should bring one bouquet of flowers. Click here for more info!

May 7

Adult and child pairs will create three bars of soap for mom, grandma or anyone special in their life. Using glycerin, herbs and essential oils, everyone will make their own unique soap blend! Sign me up!

Cost: $15 per child/adult pair. Preregistration required.

May 9

May is peak time for the arrival of colorful migrant birds to our area.  Join a naturalist to identify birds by sight and sound along the trails.  Bring binoculars or borrow ours.  All are welcome: beginner to expert! Check it out!

New plants are peeking out all over Pyramid Mountain! Enjoy a story and a hunt for these new spots of green popping up from the ground, in the water, and on the tips of branches. Click here to learn more.

May 12 at Pyramid Mountain and May 17 at Great Swamp

If you want to see the most birds on your spring bird walks, it's crucial to learn some of their songs.  After discussing the reasons why birds sing and call, discover how to recognize many of the most common songs using easy memory devices. Then we will walk the trails listening for and identifying all the birds we hear.  Bring binoculars or borrow ours. Learn more here.

Be it frozen frogs, busy beavers, or hunting herons; the creatures of the Great Swamp have some downright weird adaptations. Join us as we explore the wild ways that the wetland organisms have adapted to their environments with a guided walk and activities. Check it out!

May 17

This program for older homeschoolers features a 2-3 mile hike on the rugged trails of Pyramid Mountain with a nature lesson along the way! In this session, we will learn about the fascinating geology of Pyramid Mountain with its glacial erratic boulders and gneiss bedrock. Bring a snack and water and wear appropriate shoes for hiking.  Learn more here.
