COLOR RIOT TEXTILE TOUR: CURATORIAL PERSPECTIVES

Color Riot! Textile Tour: Curatorial Perspectives

April 16, 11 a.m.–12 p.m.

If you missed Color Riot! How Color Changed Navajo Textiles at MAM, join this special virtual talk and tour in collaboration with The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum.

As part of their Rug and Textile Appreciation Mornings series, Velma Kee Craig—a weaver and one of the three Diné curators of the original exhibition—will speak about the stunning weavings selected and the exhibition's themes. Larissa Nez, a contributing curator for MAM’s installation, will share additional community and artistic perspectives on weaving. The tour will be moderated by Laura J.
