The play THE BUTCHER OF MAUTHAUSEN, in which the infamous “Dr. Death” plays a pivotal role, tells the story of a Jewish family hiding their identity to survive in Nazi Germany—and how they are ultimately compromised and betrayed by Aribert Heim, the Butcher of Mauthausen.

Brennan Columbia-Walsh is a senior at Montclair Kimberley Academy, where he will direct a production of his play THE BUTCHER OF MAUTHAUSEN just before graduating. He has twice been honored in The Theater Project’s Young Playwrights Competition, and this fall, he will enter Yale University.
