A Live Arts World Premiere: All Vows

All Vows is a puppet memory play by puppeteer, theatre artist, and writer, Sam Jay Gold, where history and imagination collide in a heartwarming tale. The play is centered on the possibly true life of his grandfather, Poppy, a Russian Jewish refugee raised in China. Poppy is portrayed through five hand-carved, wooden puppets, each modeled after him at a different age in his life. This performance is for kids 10-years and up.

Mother's Day Promotion, Sunday, May 8

In honor of Mother's Day, children 18 and under can come for free when attending with a parent for the Sunday, May 8 performance of All Vows. In order to access and reserve these free tickets along with a purchase, you must contact the box office at 973-971-3706. 

 

 

 

 

Bickford Theatre COVID Guidelines

All patrons 12 years and older must provide proof of full vaccination, currently 2 shots of either Pfizer or Moderna, or one of Johnson and Johnson, and corresponding ID. All sales are final. All patrons are required to wear a face mask for the entire time they are inside at the Morris Museum and Bickford Theatre. For assistance, call the box office at 973-971-3706.

Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and Fazil Say

Morris Museum audiences developed a special relationship with the famed Orpheus Chamber Orchestra when they began performing with small chamber groups in the Museum’s outdoor Lot of Strings Music Festival in 2020 and again in 2021. Now the relationship culminates in an evening featuring a full chamber orchestra and guest soloist, Fazil Say!

Hear the Grammy-Award winning ensemble play with the pianist The Observer described as the “definition of virtuosity” one night before they perform it in Carnegie Hall, right here in the Museum’s intimate Bickford Theatre!

Britton-Rene Collins: On Time

Sunday, May 15, 2022, 2PM

A world premiere percussion event featuring award-winning virtuoso, Britton-Rene Collins. Collins has been commissioned to compose a new work on the theme of time which she will perform in a program of other solo percussion works.  

Britton-René is a winner of the 2020 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition and was awarded the Ambassador Prize for exceptional musicianship and demonstrating an active passion for creating social change through her music.
