Would you betray your husband to save your child’s soul? In 1517, Martin Luther tacked 95 Theses on the door of Castle Church in Wittenberg, Germany, condemning the sale of Indulgences & sparking the Protestant Reformation. When Martin married an excommunicated nun, he also set the model for clerical marriage... but discovered that Katharina von Bora’s idea of a good wife was very different than the obedient spouse Martin expected. What would life as the wife of Martin Luther look like for the outspoken & capable working mother of six, a feminist long before the title was invented? And when her child’s immortal soul is in danger, is it her husband’s reforms or Katie’s Catholic roots she turns to? Indulgence is the intimate story of Martin & Katie Luther’s journey to find God’s grace, and forgiveness from each other. Featuring: Tess Ammerman -- Katharina von Bora/called Katie John Bergeron -- Martin Luther Kevin Carr -- Nikolaus Von Amsdorf Jessica Sbordi -- Barbara Cranach
