We are thrilled to announce the return of MPAC's Spring Musical in 2022!

MPAC is excited to announce the return of our annual spring youth production this June when we present Andrew Lloyd Webber’s School of Rock The Musical, June 3 - June 5.

“After a two-year hiatus, we’re thrilled to be able to bring our fully produced musical back to the MPAC stage!” said Cathy Roy, MPAC’s Director of Education and the Director of the production.

This will be MPAC’s eighth spring production, and its first since 2019. The production will feature a cast of young performers ranging from age 10-25.

School of Rock is a loving testimony to the transforming power of music, performing and the participation in the arts,” Roy says. “We’ve seen firsthand over the last two years how important it has been to keep our students engaged in our Performing Arts School classes.  Whether virtual, in person or hybrid, these programs have provided a critical outlet for students of all ages during a very challenging and isolating time.  School of Rock feels like the perfect choice for us right now.  It’s fun, uplifting and inspiring, and will feature a lot of talented young musicians and performers.  We can’t wait to give them this professional opportunity and positive experience while once again sharing their talent with our MPAC audience!”

Tickets for School of Rock will go on sale in the spring.

Any individual or business interested in sponsoring School of Rock should contact MPAC’s Development Office.

Art in the Atrium celebrates 30th Anniversary with exhibits in MPAC’s art galleries

MPAC is proud to partner with Art in the Atrium, Inc. (ATA) for a special exhibit celebrating their 30-year history as a champion of Black art excellence.

Exhibition of African American Fine Art can be viewed in MPAC's Art Upstairs and Starlight Galleries from now through March 6, prior to MPAC events or by appointment.

A reception will take place this Sunday, January 30, from 3 pm – 5 pm. The reception is free and open to all, but we ask that attendees RSVP in advance.

The show will highlight the work of renowned artists including Alonzo Adams, Leroy Campbell, Nzinga Nichol, Nettie Thomas, OnnieStrother, Curtis Grayson III and Anthony Gartmond.

Since its inception in 1991, ATA has proudly exhibited fine art from the African diaspora in venues throughout northern New Jersey. Its annual exhibit at the Atrium Gallery in the Morris County Courthouse has become the largest of its kind in New Jersey by successfully showcasing art by emerging and established artists.
