LPL News: New Year's Reflections

January 2, 2022

A Message from the Director

New Year's Reflections

Livingston Library Community,

For me the New Year is a time to reflect on the accomplishments of the past year and set goals for the year ahead. In the coming weeks you will hear more about the number of programs we have conducted and the amount of materials that have circulated, but today I want to take a moment to reflect on the most valuable asset of the Livingston Public Library- our Library team.

As you know, it has been a year of ups and downs, seemingly endless changes, and steps forward have been followed by steps backwards. However, the team at the library has been a model of resilience and unity. The opportunity to come to work every day and serve our community alongside my colleagues is what gives me hope for the coming year. The library team has shown me that if we work together with kindness and empathy at the forefront there is

nothing we cannot overcome. It was a year of challenges and they rose to meet each one.
