Sunday Studio: Octahedrons: The Magic of Spheres with Mansa Mussa

Sunday Studio: Octahedrons: The Magic of Spheres with Mansa Mussa

December 19, 1–4 p.m.

Join us each Sunday for a fun family art-making activity inspired by our current exhibitions. Inspired by Louise Nevelson’s artwork Black Zag A in the exhibition Transformed, this week families will learn new paper folding and collage techniques to upcycle colorful marketing materials into eight-sided soft paper sculptures. These delightful octahedrons make great gifts or decorative holiday ornaments!

Art in the Afternoon

Art in the Afternoon

December 22, 2—3:30 p.m.

MAM invites older adults to join us for an artistic social gathering each second and fourth Wednesday of the month.

This week's project is inspired by Gilbert Riou, Fred Wilson, Seminole, Greenland Inuit. Create your own unique plush doll using found objects. This program is free, but registration is required.
