This Week: SLEEP, STAY, OR FLY AWAY AT GREAT SWAMP December 12 Every animal must make a choice in the wintertime in order to survive. Learn what NJ wildlife do—you'll be surprised at the answers!—on an easy hike with a naturalist.  Check it out! Cost: $4 per person. Preregistration is required. VIRTUAL: FLORAL ARRANGING WITH SUPERMARKET FLOWERS FOR THE HOLIDAYS December 14 Ann Fahey, Superintendent of Horticulture Education will demonstrate how to design beautiful floral arrangements with Supermarket Bouquets for the winter holidays!  Find out more. Cost: $10 per person.  Preregistration is required. Spotlight On: WINTER MINI-CAMP Monday, December 27 – Wednesday, December 29 Time off from school is a great time to get out in nature and explore! Discover which of our feathered friends stay around for the winter on Monday, find out all the ways animals stay warm on Tuesday, and learn everything there is to know about owls on Wednesday! Enjoy walks, crafts, stories, games, and activities! Sign up for one or more days, as your schedule allows. Participants should bring a nut-free snack each day.  Check it out! Look What’s Coming: PRE-K NATURE ON THE FARM December 16 Families with pre-K kids will take a walk on the trails and around the farm, learning about the natural world around them. Click here for more info. FULL MOON WINTER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION December 17 Join a woodland gathering around a campfire under the glowing full moon to experience the historical and ceremonial aspects of the winter solstice. VIRTUAL GOING GREEN FOR KIDS December 20 Using seasonal greens and festive supplies, young arrangers will create a winter arrangement perfect for the holiday table.  All materials will be supplied. Check it out!  Cost: $25 per person. VIRTUAL ALWAYS EVERGREEN FOR ADULTS December 20 Virtually join Horticultural Staff members and learn the tips of the trade in making a green centerpiece perfect for the holiday table.
