The Doo Wop Project makes its triumphant return to Kean Stage after their outdoor, live performance at Kean University’s Alumni Stadium in October 2020, the first concert Kean Stage produced after the March 2020 shutdown. This time around, The Doo Wop Project will delight you with their favorite holiday songs from their holiday album Merry Christmas! From The Doo Wop Project, such as Last Christmas, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.

Featuring stars from the Broadway hits Jersey Boys, Motown: The Musical, and A Bronx Tale, The Doo Wop Project brings unparalleled authenticity of sound and vocal excellence to recreate—and in some cases entirely reimagine—the greatest music in American pop and rock history.

“Yes, we need a little holiday spirit, right this very moment,” said Steve Cochran, Manager of Kean Stage. “It has been two years since we last came together, live, to celebrate the season with uplifting songs and high energy performances that gets the crowd up on its feet. The Doo Wop Project delivers that and much more. We couldn’t be happier to bring them back for the holidays.”

To ensure the safety of all patrons and staff, Kean Stage will implement specific safety protocols for all indoor performances.

  • Masks will be required for audiences attending indoor performances, regardless of vaccination status.
  • All seating will be sanitized between performances and hand sanitizing stations will be available throughout the lobby.
  • Touchless ticketing, as well as printed and digital playbills will be available for all patrons.

Kean Stage is committed to representing diversity, equity and inclusion in its programming, as well as creating an accessible theatre experience for all. Kean Stage offers assisted listening devices upon request.
