This Week: PRE-K NATURE ON THE FARM December 16 Families with pre-K kids will take a walk on the trails and around the farm, learning about the natural world around them. Click here for more info. Preregistration is required.   FULL MOON WINTER SOLSTICE CELEBRATION December 17 Join a woodland gathering around a campfire under the glowing full moon to experience the historical and ceremonial aspects of the winter solstice. Listen to storytellers and enjoy hot cider and roasted marshmallows. Space is limited! Learn more. Cost: $15 per person. Preregistration is required.   VIRTUAL GOING GREEN FOR KIDS December 20 Using seasonal greens and festive supplies, young arrangers will create a winter arrangement perfect for the holiday table.  All materials will be supplied. Check it out!  Cost: $25 per person.  Preregistration is required.   VIRTUAL ALWAYS EVERGREEN FOR ADULTS December 20 Virtually join Horticultural Staff members and learn the tips of the trade in making a green centerpiece perfect for the holiday table.  Greens and mechanics will be provided prior to class but feel free to supplement with your own extra greens, decorations, and more. Find out more!  Cost: $25 per person.  Preregistration is required.

Spotlight On: MAPLE SUGARING DEMOS Saturdays & Sundays: January 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30, February 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, and 27, March 5, 6, and 12 Learn how to identify and tap maple trees, collect sap, and make real maple syrup over a wood-fired evaporator.  This year, the program will be held entirely outdoors, so dress for the weather.  Spiles and syrup will be available for purchase, while supplies last.  Learn more here! Look What’s Coming: WINTER GOLDEN HOUR PHOTOGRAPHY January 9 See Fosterfields like never before.  The beauty of a chilly January morning is brought to life by the rays of the sun, glistening on frosted trees, buildings and fences.  We might even see some snow blanketing the farm.  Amateur and professional photographers are invited to this unique morning experience to photograph the beauty of the farm. Click here to learn more! Preregistration is required.   STARTING THE APPLE ORCHARD January 15 Even though it's cold, the work on the farm doesn't stop.  Come assist the farmers with maintaining the apple orchard and learn how orchards are planned! Check it out!
