holiday season, the Museum’s Origami Tree is returning for its
50th year on view! Decorated with more than 1,000 origami
pieces, including 50 specially created gold-colored models, the
tree celebrates Gems of the Museum: see origami pieces of
dazzling specimens from the new Allison and Roberto Mignone
Halls of Gems and Minerals, “jaw-some” pieces inspired by
the upcoming Sharks exhibition, and iconic museum
classics like the Blue Whale, Titanosaur, and Tyrannosaurus
Origami Tree is on display in the Grand Gallery until January

The Museum vaccination site, which is open
seven days a week, from 10 am to 5 pm, is now also
offering vaccinations to children ages 5 and up. Scheduling
an appointment in advance is strongly recommended. To

have the halls, Museum icons, and special
exhibitions nearly to yourself during monthly
morning and evening hours just for Members. Evening
hours will provide access to almost all of the
Museum, while morning hours—for the Adventurer
level and up—will focus on one gallery each time.
