The 50th Origami Tree Returns to AMNH November 24

Origami Holiday Tree: Gems of the Museum - On view now through January 9

This holiday season, the Museum’s Origami Tree is returning for its 50th year on view! Decorated with more than 1,000 origami pieces, including 50 specially created gold-colored models, the tree celebrates Gems of the Museum: see origami pieces of dazzling specimens from the new Allison and Roberto Mignone Halls of Gems and Minerals, “jaw-some” pieces inspired by the upcoming Sharks exhibition, and iconic museum classics like the Blue Whale, Titanosaur, and Tyrannosaurus rex.

The Origami Tree is on display in the Grand Gallery until January 9. Don’t miss this classic Museum holiday tradition!
