Living Downstream Podcast Features Dodge Poetry

Check out the newest episode of the Living Downstream podcast to hear highlights from a recent Dodge Poetry event

This past summer, we hosted a virtual screening of the documentary The Sacrifice Zone, followed by poetry and conversation about environmental justice. (You can still watch the full event video here!)

The most recent episode of Steve Mencher's Living Downstream podcastSeeking Justice: On Repeat, In Every Language, Unceasinglyfeatures audio from our Sacrifice Zone event. You'll hear poetry from Marina Carreira, remarks about poetry’s role in environmental justice from Camille Dungy, as well as powerful reflections from the documentary's director Julie Winokur, Maria Lopez-Nuñez of the Ironbound Community Corporation and Dr. Jalonne L. White-Newsome.

It’s a fascinating episode that also features highlights from Social and Environmental Justice at Upaya Zen Center in New Mexico and Toxics are a Drag, a panel discussion on toxic beauty products in the queer community.

You can find it on Apple PodcastsSpotify or wherever you get your podcasts.
