NOVEMBER 18, 12:30 PM
Choir!Choir!Choir! is a Toronto-based
singing group led by creative directors Nobu Adilman (AKA
“Dabu”) and Daveed Goldman. The duo has performed in holes,
on hills, and on big stages such as Carnegie Hall, Radio City
Music Hall, The Juno Awards, Joe’s Pub, and at TEDx Toronto. They’ve
been joined by guest singers such as David Byrne, Patti Smith, Rufus
Wainwright, Rick Astley, Tegan and Sara, Bruce Cockburn, Kathleen
Edwards, Colin Hay (Men At Work), Joel Plaskett, and many more. The
duo takes a non-traditional approach; there are no auditions, and the
audience is the choir. You get a lyric sheet at the door; they’ll
teach you an original vocal arrangement to a song you love. The
intent is in equal parts: singing, comedy, and community-building. In
the end, everyone has a blast and goes home feeling great!

Carl Palmer has thrilled listeners and
audiences alike for nearly four decades with some of music’s most
memorable bands including Atomic Rooster, The Crazy World of Arthur
Brown, Asia, and Emerson, Lake & Palmer (ELP). With the
passing of his ELP bandmates, Keith Emerson and Greg Lake, Palmer is
hitting the road with a tribute show in their honor. Palmer’s new
band totally reinvents the music of ELP and captures all the power of
their megahits, including “Picture’s At An Exhibition,” “Lucky Man,”
“From the Beginning,” and “Tarkus” in a hard driving, instrumental
performance that’s winning rave reviews globally. As a dynamic showman and brilliant technician behind the
drums, there is no wonder why Palmer is considered as one of Rock and
Roll's greatest drummers.
