This Thursday Night: The Diamond-and-Emerald Bickford Benefit Concert with Dan Levinson

Dan Levinson has once again assembled a truly spectacular group for this annual event, which will be our first back inside the theatre. Join us this Thursday, October 28!

Exciting young trumpeter and vocalist, Danny Jonokuchi, winner of the first-ever Count Basie Great American Swing Contest earlier this year, will make his debut appearance at the theatre.

Trombonist Doug Finke, who led his Independence Hall Jazz Band the night Dan made his own inaugural appearance at the theatre in October 2001, will make the trek north from his current home in Louisville, Kentucky to participate in the evening’s festivities.

Conal Fowkes—for over 20 years the pianist in Woody Allen’s Monday-night band at NYC’s prestigious Carlyle Hotel and who is featured on many of the filmmaker’s soundtracks—will grace the ivories of the Bickford’s grand piano.

Canadian bassist, Jen Hodge, recently relocated to New York City, will make her debut appearance at the theatre.

And drummer Kevin Dorn, for 25 years the “Rock of Gibraltar” in Dan’s rhythm sections, will take his seat in the “engine room.”

This event sells out, so don’t wait to buy tickets!

This concert is generously sponsored by Vince and Katherine Teti.

All patrons 12 years and older must provide proof of vaccination and corresponding ID. Masks required for all patrons over two years old.

Empire Wild Holiday Concert

Sunday, December 12, 2021, 2PM

Empire Wild blew audiences away with their Morris Museum debut on The Back Deck this past June, now they return inside the Bickford Theatre for a holiday concert that puts a fresh twist on familiar favorites.

They are a genre-bending, crossover trio founded by Ken Kubota, Brandon Ilaw, and Mitch Lyon. Ken and Mitch bring all the cello has to offer – bowed, plucked, chopped and more. Brandon can be found singing and playing anything he can get his hands on – often a cajon, sometimes a guitar or piano, maybe some ankle bells. All classically trained, the three musicians met at Juilliard and formed Empire Wild as a vehicle for their love of musical exploration – fusing the sounds of pop, folk, Broadway and more into their songwriting and composition.
