Philadelphia Sinfonia: Rolling Auditions Still Being Accepted 



Audition for
Philadelphia Sinfonia Association's
25th Anniversary Season

25 years! Our rich past; your musical future!

 

Openings remain in Woodwind, Brass, and Double Bass sections!
Very limited openings for other instruments.

Rolling auditions still being accepted until further notice.

 

 

Both Philadelphia Sinfonia and Philadelphia Sinfonia Players are looking forward to incredible projects this year, including:

  • Year long residency with Tempesta di Mare, a Philadelphia based self-led baroque orchestra
  • Collaborations with local youth choirs and guest artists to perform Haydn's The Creation 4 Spiritual Settings arranged by Robert Harris
  • Performance of a new piece by Philadelphia composer Kile Smith, accompanied by a multi-media presentation 
  • Saint-Saens Cello Concerto No. 1, Glenn Fischbach, guest soloist
  • Performance opportunities at both Verzion Hall at the Kimmel Center and the Temple Performing Arts Center

 

We have resumed in-person rehearsals for the 2021-2022 year


Philadelphia Sinfonia accepts musicians by audition. Placement in our orchestras is determined by the audition. We encourage all instruments to apply!

  • Philadelphia Sinfonia (PS) – advanced full symphony orchestra, conducted by Gary D. White
  • Philadelphia Sinfonia Players (PSP) – advanced-intermediate full symphony orchestra, conducted by Danielle Garrett
  • Philadelphia Sinfonia Chamber Orchestra (PSCO) – advanced string orchestra, conducted by Gary D. White

WE ARE CURRENTLY ACCEPTING AUDITIONS BY VIDEO ONLY. First register online, then we will provide a link for you to submit your pre-recorded video audition when ready.
