In June 2020, he released his 17th album, Solid. Solid follows his smash 2017 release Honestly which became his 11th #1 Billboard Contemporary Jazz Album. Over the years, his soul- and R&B-infused style of jazz has earned Boney James four RIAA gold albums, a Soul Train Award and two NAACP Image Award nominations.
