FALL FARM FUN

September 25 and October 9, 16 & 23

Celebrate the fall season at Fosterfields!  Navigate the corn maze and pick your own pumpkin in our brand-new pumpkin patch!  Take an open-air wagon ride around the farm.  Visit the farm and see corn grinding demos, butterchurning, and visit with all your favorite farm animals including the pigs, cows, sheep, goats and chickens!  All activities are included with admission.  Learn more!  

Cost: $15 per person. Preregistration is required.

The life and migration of the Monarch butterfly is an incredible natural spectacle, and this is the time of year when they are easiest to see.  Travel through the life cycle from egg to adult, act out the migratory journey, and learn amazing facts through an interactive virtual presentation.  Check it out!

The horticultural therapy program and the Vera Scherer Garden at the Frelinghuysen Arboretum is a finalist for a $3,000 grant from the National Garden Bureau!  The winner is chosen by the public, so please help us by voting before Friday, September 24.

TRAIL FUN SERIES: NATIONAL PUBLIC LANDS DAY VOLUNTEER EVENT

September 25

It's not too late to register!  Come out and celebrate National Public Lands Day by volunteering at Tourne County Park.  Be among thousands of people nationwide who volunteer their time during this annual recognition day to benefit public lands.  Work with Morris County Park Commission staff, New York/New Jersey Trail Conference, and JORBA on trail maintenance/construction and invasive removal.  You will also have the opportunity to spend time developing your outdoor skills with REI.  Get more info!

Scarecrows have returned to The Frelinghuysen Arboretum and this year they help celebrate the Morris County Park Commission's 65th anniversary. Visit them all to see if your favorite park is represented. Check it out!
