BONJ Accomplished a Lot During COVID

As we move forward and return to live
in-person events, it's important to reflect on the past
eighteen months.
It was truly a challenging time.
We are grateful that you have stayed with
us, connected with us, shared with us our music and our lives.
We remained active during the pandemic and
did our best to provide opportunities for artists and
audience to come together through the magic
of great music.
In April, we created a collaborative
performance of Variations on Simple Gifts with Keys 2 Success, a performance
premiered live at our July 18, 2021 concert.
Throughout the year, Maestro Butts created
and presented Bach, Bagels, and Bob, his popular
internet show which brought artists and audience closer together.
For the 2020 Summer Music Festival,
the orchestra presented four virtual concerts featuring orchestra
musicians, guest artists, and music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and
Modern eras.
In November, the orchestra presented a
virtual opening concert for a virtual year.
In June, a special Spring Music
Festival presented three virtual concerts in formats similar to the 2020 Summer
Music Festival.
