You'll shoot
your eye out! . . . Ralphie and the Red Ryder BB gun come alive on
stage in Jean Shepherd's nostalgic Christmas story, complete with
everything you know and love from the film: the Old Man, Miss
Shields, the pink bunny pajamas, and--of course--the leg lamp! So
come on down and catch the holiday spirit, I double dog dare ya!
Performance
Dates:
December 3 –
19, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, Sundays at 2 pm;
**there is an
additional matinee performance on Saturday December 11 at 2 pm

little brother, must eat oatmeal on stage

Ralphie’s best friends, accepts the dare to lick the school flagpole
- Schwartz 9-11: One of
Ralphie’s best friends, who dares Flick
- Esther Jane
9-11: A girl in
Ralphie’s class
- Helen 9-11: A girl in
Ralphie’s class
- Scut Farkus
11-13: The
neighborhood bully
- Ensemble 9-11: Classmates,
girls and boys
- The Old Man
40s-50s: Ralphie’s
father, gruff exterior, frustrated by life’s challenges
- Ralph Parker,
the Narrator Adult: Narrator of
the story, from his adult reminiscent perspective
- Mother 30s-40s: Ralphie’s
mother, calm and nurturing
- Miss Shields
40s-50s: Ralphie’s
teacher, no-nonsense

Special Notes
for Auditioners:
Readings will
be from the script. Auditioners only need to attend one evening of
auditions. Actors do not need to be the age listed, but portray the
character at that age.
Please be
prepared to list potential conflicts with evening rehearsals Sundays
– Thursdays. Please be honest. ** All performance dates are
mandatory, as are tech week rehearsals Sun Nov 28 – Thurs Dec
2.
Please note
that Sun Nov 28 is Thanksgiving weekend.
Please inform
the production staff of any food allergies, as the actor portraying
Randy eats oatmeal during the performances.
