What to watch this weekend on Broadway On Demand
BLOOD MONEY, a new play by David W. Unger and directed by Gordon
Edelstein, tells the true story of a New Jersey doctor who goes to prison
for nearly two years over a rather simple business transaction.
Award-winning actors Sam Waterston and Judith Ivey lead the cast, which
also features Ari Brand, Maddie Corman and James Waterston. “As a
businessman for more than 40 years, I became passionate about the
injustice of the story,” noted playwright Unger. “Gordon was a terrific
mentor by helping me shape the narrative and assembling an amazing group
of actors to tell the story.” BLOOD MONEY runs on Broadway on Demand July
15-18, and proceeds from this presentation benefit The Fortune Society, a
powerfully effective organization serving those in prison and those getting
out for over 50 years.
