NEWS FROM GREENWOOD GARDENS

Come to the Party…Again and Again

Dear Friends,

Working hand in glove with Mother Nature, Greenwood’s horticulture staff and award-winning Green Team volunteers have created a marvelous “garden party” of plant delights at our historic oasis. Throughout May and June, visitors have been enjoying a heady elixir of newly planted annuals, perennials, and flowering trees and shrubs, an ever-changing display that is sure to continue unabated all season long. Elegant snowflake hydrangea amidst feathery amsonia foliage along the North Ridge parking lot welcome you to the party as soon as you emerge from your vehicle.

Towering white yucca “chandeliers” have been standing at attention on the Reflecting Pool Terrace, as if to say, “glad you are here.”

Billowing, lush ferns continue to charm all who stroll along the path from the Garden of the Gods to the Summerhouse.

If you have missed any of these, no worries! Change is eternal in the garden and each day brings new opportunities for exciting ways to connect with nature and in the process, rejuvenate your senses. So be sure to come to the garden party at Greenwood this season – again and again!

Happy summer!

Abby O'Neill, Executive Director
